In February 2015, Fulham announced the signing of promising young defender Aron Davies from Bristol City on a deal that keeps him at the Club until 30th June 2018.
The Wales youth international is highly rated, and Academy Director Huw Jennings was pleased to secure his signature.
"He’s a talented left-sided centre-half," he said. "He’s a player we've been looking at because, profile-wise, we’ve lacked central defenders this year and certainly we think Aron’s got a lot of potential for the future.
"He’s had involvement in a variety of Wales’ youth squads and he’s the type of composed defender who will be one that we’ll hope to develop for the long-term.
"One of the things that we’ve needed in our Under-18 group is an emphasis on leadership, and we think that Aron’s got those credentials."
Davies had a successful 2016/17 season with the Under-23s side, making 23 appearances in all. In those games he claimed 36 interceptions, made 32 tackles and 153 clearances.
He was called up to the Under-20 Wales national team at the end of the season to compete at the Toulon Tournament, but unfortunately had to pull out with injury.
The centre back is now captain of the U23s and a key figure in the all-round academy set-up.
