Safeguarding Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to provide leadership in all areas of safeguarding children and adults at risk. Working across the Club and the Fulham Football Club Foundation you will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the highest levels of care and moral responsibility are applied.

You will be responsible for the preparation of reports and the development of policies and procedures. You will promote awareness throughout the Club and Foundation and ensure best practice and compliance, including risk assessment and recommendations for safer working practices.

You will act as the Lead Disclosure Officer for the Club and provide advice and guidance on safer recruitment matters. You will be responsible for the leadership of the Club’s Safeguarding Officers and will be central in supporting them in their designated areas.

Previous experience of working in social care and dealing with issues relating to the protection of vulnerable groups is essential as well as good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and delivering safeguarding training to groups.

You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to work off of your own initiative and unsupervised. You will have the upmost respect for confidentiality and the ability to manage situations with honesty and integrity.

This position will be predominately based at our Training Ground; however you will be required to travel to games, development centres, Foundation projects and holiday courses as well as host families and any other venues as required. 

Previous experience within football is preferred.
