Tony Khan’s time at FFC began in 2015 when he created the statistical research department at the Club, with the aim of combining traditional scouting methods with in-depth player performance analytics and proprietary football metrics to identify the best possible talent for the Club.
However, it wasn’t until 2016, and following a league finishing position of 20th, that Tony assumed a far more hands on role at the Club and, working closely with then Head Coach Slaviša Jokanović, embarked on recruiting a squad that were capable of challenging for promotion that same season. The Club came agonisingly close to a return to the top flight, with acquisitions that included Stefan Johansen, Denis Odoi, and Kevin McDonald, all of whom featured prominently during the campaign.
Tony continued to develop new ways to ensure performances on the pitch could be improved, building on the successes of the previous season and working collaboratively with the entire football staff to select, attract and retain the highest calibre of players to complement the existing team. Fulham were promoted to the Premier League in the 2017/18 season.
In 2017, Tony was named as Vice Chairman and Director of Football Operations, and he also holds the roles of General Manager and Sporting Director.
In addition to his Fulham responsibilities, Tony is also the founder and owner of TruMedia, a Boston-based firm specialising in developing innovative tier one sports analytics solutions for leagues, franchises, and media partners across the athletic industry.
Tony is Senior Vice President of football and technology at Jacksonville Jaguars where he created a football technology and analytics group which forms an integral part of the Jaguars’ organisation, acting as a valued asset to the coaching and scouting departments alongside exploring new technology within player development, injury prevention, game analysis and player evaluation.
In January 2019, Tony Khan announced the dynamic All Elite Wrestling, or AEW, that enjoyed a spectacular debut in Las Vegas, helping to build a loyal and passionate following that continues to build rapidly.
Tony Khan graduated from the College of Business at the University of Illinois in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.
