Having worked with Slaviša Jokanović at several clubs, Javier Pereira joined Fulham as his First Team Assistant Head Coach.
The son of a former professional footballer, in his playing days Pereira reached the Spain’s Second Division, but it was always in his thinking to move into coaching later in life and he dedicated all his time to studying the game.
His first steps saw him coaching academy football, before he was given a senior role at Salamanca, and then Albacete.
His first job in La Liga came at Levante, and in his two years at the club they experienced UEFA Europa League football and reached the last 16 of the competition.
Following a subsequent spell at Valladolid, he joined Watford as part of Oscar Garcia’s backroom staff, but was kept on when Jokanović was appointed as head coach at Vicarage Road.
After winning promotion to the Premier League with the Hornets, he then followed Jokanović to Maccabi Tel Aviv, before arriving at Fulham at the end of 2015.
