An exciting young talent who counts Paul Scholes amongst his biggest admirers, Larnell Cole arrived at Fulham alongside Manchester United teammate Ryan Tunnicliffe in January 2014.
Although he is predominantly a right winger, Cole’s versatility is one of his major strengths, and he’s played across the midfield, as well as at full-back, during his time with United’s various age groups.
Part of the side that lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2011, he made his first-team debut later that year, coming on for Federico Macheda in a League Cup victory over Leeds United.
But it was their 2012/13 Under-21 success where Cole really came to the fore, hitting a hat-trick in the Semi-Final against Liverpool, before claiming a brace in a man of the match display at Old Trafford in the Final as United came from 2-0 down to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2.
René Meulensteen oversaw that match and will have been delighted to link up once again with Cole – who was named in the England Under-20 squad for the World Cup in the summer of 2013 – at Fulham.
In February 2014, he joined Milton Keynes Dons on loan for the remainder of the season.
