Simon Davies willingly accepts that he is one of Fulham’s more senior players, and while his game time last season may have lessened, the popular Welshman remains as important as ever.
A central figure ever since he signed from Everton in January 2007, much has transpired in that time and Davies has certainly played his part - from two relegation battles to our highest-ever top-flight finish and march to the Final of the UEFA Europa League where he scored in both the Semi-Final and Final.
The image of Davies in full flow with the ball at his feet has been one of the more familiar on-field sights of the recent era. An intelligent player who uses the ball wisely, and whose accuracy from the flanks has provided many assists.
He is another that has thrived at Craven Cottage, where his experience and versatility will again prove beneficial as the team look to build on their recent success.
