Another who has reignited his career on the banks of the Thames, Steve Sidwell has impressed all since joining the Whites on loan in January 2011.
His move has since been made permanent, and the man the fans have labelled the ‘Ginger Iniesta’ has established himself as a key midfield component following a string of positive displays that have been full of hard work and tenacity.
Sidwell also brings more refined elements to the Fulham midfield, with the timing of his passing and shooting adding much to the Team’s range of play. He likes to keep the ball moving and never shirks a tackle, while his effortless bursts to and beyond the edge of the box have proved extremely beneficial.
One that has brought much to the squad, his time at the Club has already drawn admiration from team-mates, management and supporters. In the past, he has responded positively to his previous time on football’s fringes; having missed a large part of the 2011/12 season as a result of injury, he will be determined to make up for lost time.
