In stepping up into the Under-18 squad last season, having contributed positively, Derek Tieku looks set to play an important role throughout the 2011/12 campaign.

Praised for his hard-work and versatility, the young forward played in a variety of positions last term - and in doing so, never gave less than 100 per cent. A nuisance to the opposition, the player is an expert in unsettling opposition defences.

Having joined the Club at the age of 10, he is another to have risen through the ranks. In bringing many skills and attributes to the team, Tieku will certainly prove a useful asset to Steve Wigley.
