Last season’s Under-18s had no shortage of attacking talent, yet Lyle Della Verde was a player that continually caught the eye.
Capable of operating on either flank or off a front man, the youngster is also the team’s set-piece specialist and a regular source of assists. Underneath the tricks and flicks, he is also fiercely competitive.
Released by Tottenham Hotspur at the age of 12, Della Verde shone at subsequent club Southend United, where at one point, he made the first-team bench. The youngster is now hoping to make a similar impact at Craven Cottage, and while still raw, there is no doubting his potential.
