Fulham’s Academy has a long tradition of producing talented young goalkeepers and now German stopper, Max Oberschmidt, wants to show what he can do.
Having been dubbed ‘the new Oliver Kahn’ in his homeland, due to his ability between the sticks and an uncanny physical resemblance, he came in under much anticipation. However, as a result of injury, the youngster’s immediate impact was somewhat restricted.
The German youth international has shown great character in working his way back, and looks set to enjoy a positive 2012/13 season as the Under-18s number one.
