The towering centre-back enjoyed a fine first season at Fulham, having joined the Club in the summer of 2011 from Conference side Darlington.
Excelling at the heart of the Development Squad’s defence, his form throughout the course of the 2011/12 campaign made him one of the first names on the team sheet. While the likes of Marcello Trotta and Alex Kacaniklic turned heads further forward, Burn was our defensive rock.
Comfortable on the ball and a threat from set-pieces, the player is more than just an accomplished stopper. With a mature reading of play and excellent distribution, comparisons have already been made with Brede Hangeland.
In working his way up from non-league, and in sharing a variety of on-field attributes, comparisons with Chris Smalling are perhaps more fitting. The Club are certainly hopeful that the player can follow a similar path. As a result of his excellent leadership skills, he will lead the Under-21s out as captain.
On Tuesday 25th September 2012, Dan went on a short-term Youth Loan to npower League One side Yeovil Town. This deal was later extended until 20th November, and then once again until 7th January 2013.
On 8th January, his loan deal with the Glovers was extended until the end of the League One season.
