The Young Whites went ahead by two goals in the first half, but Arsenal mounted a comeback as the points were shared.

Fulham drew 2-2 away at Arsenal on Saturday morning. A first half own goal and a Timmy Abraham strike gave the Young Whites the lead, but a dominant second half from the Gunners meant the match finished level.

The opening five minutes was edgy from both sides, Arsenal were not giving Fulham a lot of time on the ball and not letting them play out.

Arsenal had the first shot of the match, Robbie Burton struck low from the edge of the area, but it was no trouble for Luca Ashby-Hammond in goal for the Young Whites.

Fulham went close early on in the 9th minute, Jayden Harris pressured a defender and won the ball high up the pitch.

Abraham took the ball from Harris a put Sonny Hilton in on goal, his low shot zipped inches past the right post.

Fulham won a corner in the 20th minute, Ben Davis chipped the ball to the back-post, Abraham headed towards goal but it was nodded out for another corner.

The ball flew in and it looked like Garrido had got the final touch, but it turned out to have finally come off an Arsenal defender.

Arsenal attempted to hit back straight away, Emile Smith-Rowe shot from the right of the area but Nicolas Santos-Clase made a good block.

Five minutes later Trae Coyle got a shot off from the left for the hosts, Garrido did well to get back on his line and hook the ball out of danger.

The pressure was mounting from the Gunners, Tobi Omole had the ball pulled back to him, he shot low and Ashby-Hammond collected.

Half an hour in and Arsenal almost equalised through Coyle, he headed at the bottom left corner and Jaydn Mundle-Smith cleared off the line again.

Fulham doubled their advantage after riding the Arsenal pressure. From another corner, the ball came to Chris Kelly. The wide-man slipped a ball to Abraham and he drilled the ball into the back of the net with his left.

At the start of the second half Arsenal came out attacking hard, two shots from Burton. The first was from distance however the other flew close. Smith-Rowe cut in from the left and curled a shot on target but Ashby-Hammond read it.

Arsenal were pressing hard, their pressure came to fruition in the 58th minute as Tyreece John-Jules was finally able to beat Ashby-Hammond with a strike into the top right corner.

He was slipped through on goal and hammered his shot into the right of the net, Ashby-Hammond got a hand to the ball but the shot was too powerful.

The second half became a barrage of half-chances for the Gunners as they pressed for an equaliser.

They almost got their equaliser as Coyle whipped a ball at goal and the shot curled off the crossbar and out for a goal kick.

Fulham were doing well to dig in, but Arsenal found their equaliser in the 80th minute.

Zico Asare headed the ball clear from a corner to the edge of the area, where Burton shot through a packed box and scored in off the right post.

Arsenal continued their attacking threat, but the Young Whites expertly saw out the match to leave the Arsenal Training Centre with a point.
