Fulham Under-18s fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of a strong West Ham United side on Saturday morning at the West Ham United training ground.

A strong start and high press from the hosts put the Whites under pressure from the get go. After settling down and beginning to enjoy some spells of possession. Harvey Elliot was a constant threat down the flanks, however, Fulham were pegged back in the 30th minute after quick counter attack led to the opener.

Despite the set-back Fulham were unlucky not to be level just before the stroke of half-time when Scott Armsworth powered a header past the far post. Agonisingly close to an equaliser at a crucial time.

However, the lead for the Hammers was extended just after the start of the second half when Sonny Holton lost possession and Sean Adarkwa took advantage with a well placed shot at the end of a ruthless break.

The Whites responded when Jean Pierre Tiehi scored after being put through on goal by a lovely through ball by Elliot.

The slight glimmer of hope for Fulham was extinguished after Adarkwa gravved his second of the game and minutes later Emmanuel Longelo ensured victory.

A day to forget for the Young Whites who will look to bounce back in two weeks time when the face Norwich City at Motspur Park.
