Fulham booked their spot in the Quarter-Finals of the U21 PL International Cup with a last-gasp win.

Fulham qualified for the U21 Premier League International Cup Quarter-Finals following victory against PSV Eindhoven at Motspur Park on Wednesday evening.

The visitors took the lead in the first half before Fulham managed to come back in the second period, converting two penalties against a 10-man PSV side after Moussa Sanoh was sent off for a handball on the line.

With the Whites looking for either a draw or a win to progress into the Quarter-Finals of the competition and the visitors requiring a victory, the match was always going to be tense.

In a closely fought first half, it was the Whites who produced the first real chance of the game when, after 10 minutes, Ange-Freddy Plumain made his way through the PSV defence with a dedicated mazy run. However, the final shot from the 19-year-old midfielder went just agonisingly wide.

Some 10 minutes later the Whites found themselves punished for the miss when Aleksander Boljevic curled in a beautiful shot into the right-hand corner of the net from just inside the box to give PSV the lead.

Despite both teams attacking hard in the first half, PSV managed to hold onto the lead thanks to the work of keeper Jesse Bertrams.

The second half saw the Whites take control of the game dominating possession, but they were unable to convert until the 65th minute when Sanoh was shown a red card for handball off the line and PSV found themselves down to 10 men. Plumain converted the penalty to even the score.

Fulham continued to dictate play throughout the rest of the second half but couldn’t find the net again until the last kick of the game. Following a driving run from Solomon Sambou, he found Aaron Redford in the box who was subsequently brought down for a penalty in the 90th minute.

Again it was Plumain who claimed his second of the game with a beautifully struck spot-kick to give victory to the Whites as well as a Quarter-Final spot.
