Goals from Marcello Trotta and Buomesca Tue Na Bangna helped Fulham to a 2-1 win over Everton Under-21s at Motspur Park on Monday evening.
After a goalless first half, the Whites made the breakthrough 10 minutes into the second period after good work by Ryan Tunnicliffe, with the midfielder following up his determined run by feeding Trotta who found the net with his shot.
The lead was doubled on 75 minutes courtesy of a wonder strike from Mesca, with the Fulham winger crashing home a brilliant strike from long range.
The visitors found a way back into the contest shortly after when Brendan Galloway prodded in from a corner, and they almost snatched a point in stoppage time when George Green’s effort from distance hit the outside of the post.
Kit Symons’ side are next in action in three weeks time when they travel to Leicester City.
