Academy Education Manager
Background:
Georgia Henderson joined Fulham FC Education and Player Care departments in October 2020. Following the completion of her BSc. undergraduate degree in Psychology, Georgia gained her PGCE at The UCL Institute of Education (IOE).
After five years as a teacher and Head of Department of Economics, Business, Psychology and Sociology at a secondary school in Surrey, Georgia joined Chelsea FC Foundation. Here she led a team across the South East of England to deliver a mental health and wellbeing programme, which aimed to build coping mechanisms in young people through universal, targeted and individual intervention.
The role:
After a successful spell within the charity sector, Georgia has now returned to the education sector working closely with the U18s and U23s, supporting their academic achievements within BTEC Level 3, A-levels and Further Education. In addition to her work within the education department, Georgia is also involved in the Player Care department taking lead on the Life Skills and Personal Development Programme.
