The appointment of Martin Jol as Fulham boss in June 2011 prompted much hope and excitement amongst Whites fans.
In his first season at Craven Cottage, Jol guided Fulham to a highly impressive ninth-placed finish in the Barclays Premier League.
A 12th-placed finish was achieved in 2012/13, although Jol left his role at Fulham after a poor run of form the following season that saw the Whites lose five consecutive Premier League matches.
