Tomas Kalas and his Czech Republic teammates recovered from a 4-0 defeat by Australia to beat Nigeria on Wednesday.

Kalas – whose loan at the Club runs until the end of June – scored the only goal of the game, bundling home from a corner in the first half.

Stefan Johansen concluded his successful season by captaining Norway to a 1-0 win over Panama.

The Fulham midfielder played 77 minutes of the encounter with England’s World Cup opponents, with an early goal from Bournemouth’s Josh King the difference.

It caps a productive period for the Norwegians, who saw off Iceland 3-2 in Reykjavik a few days earlier, with Johansen playing the full 90.

On Monday, Aleksandar Mitrović played the majority of Serbia’s 1-0 loss against Chile.

The striker was denied a penalty when he was brought down by Erick Pulgar, and the South Americans nicked it after Mitrović had been taken off when Guillermo Maripan headed in.

Last weekend, Luca de la Torre made his international bow in the United States’ 2-1 defeat by the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

The 20-year-old replaced Rubio Rubin in the 77th minute in a match where second half strikes from Graham Burke and Alan Judge saw Ireland bounce back from Bobby Wood’s opener.
