He started out as a left-sided defender with attacking instincts, and rose through the ranks quickly, becoming a regular for Steve Wigley's Under-18 side in 2015/16, despite being just 15 years of age.

His good form in the Academy did not go unnoticed by then Fulham boss Slaviša Jokanović, who called Sessegnon up for First Team duties ahead of the new season, and he promptly scored his maiden senior goal in a 3-0 friendly win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

A debut was not far away as he started against Leyton Orient in an EFL Cup victory, and he made his first league appearance in the 1-1 draw at Leeds United shortly after, before notching his first league goal four days later against Cardiff City.

Sessegnon ended the 2016/17 campaign with an impressive seven goals in 30 appearances, and the summer saw him sign his first professional contract, which keeps him at Fulham until at least June 2020.

The following campaign was one which will live long in Sessegnon's memory, as it will every Fulham fan. The youngster topped the scoring charts for the Whites as a 23-match unbeaten run in the second half of the season saw us claim promotion, with Sessegnon setting up Tom Cairney for the winner in the Play-Off Final at Wembley.

His incredible form did not go unnoticed, and he cleaned up in terms of personal accolades, including five wins at the EFL Awards, in addition to claiming Fans' PFA Player of the Season. He also came close to winning the Club's Player of the Season, but was was pipped by Tim Ream.

Sessegnon's first Premier League goal came against Cardiff - his fifth in as many games against the Bluebirds - while he also netted against Wolverhampton Wanderers before the turn of the year.

Capped by England up to Under-21 level, Sesegnon's finest moments for the Three Lions came when he top scored and was player of the tournament as they won the 2017 Under-19 European Championship.
