August 2016 saw Fulham announce the signing of Stefan Johansen from Celtic for an undisclosed fee.
Johansen joined FK Bodø/Glimt in his homeland as a youngster, and was just 16 when he made his senior debut for the club. He later moved on to Strømsgodset IF where he enjoyed tremendous success, finishing second in the Tippeligaen in 2012, before winning the competition the following year.
In January 2014 the central midfielder completed his move to Celtic for a reported £2m, and he won the Scottish Premiership title in each of his two-and-a-half seasons at the club.
He was named Celtic's Player of the Season and joint Players’ Player of the Season for 2014/15, and departed having made 114 appearances and scored 20 times.
Johansen netted on his Norway debut in August 2013, and has now been given the captaincy having represented his country on more than 50 occasions.
In each of his first two seasons Johansen helped Fulham reach the Play-Offs, and he started our famous 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Wembley in May 2018.
On transfer deadline day January 2019 he joined West Bromwich Albion on loan for the remainder of the campaign, but he was back at Craven Cottage to join our battle for promotion the following season.
A hugely popular player amongst the fans courtesy of his tireless work rate and commitment on the pitch.
