An energised first half saw Fulham score four goals against the Canaries in their trip to Norwich on Saturday morning.

Fulham convincingly beat Norwich City at the Colney Training Centre on Saturday morning. The Young Whites won 4-0, with all four goals coming ing in the opening half.

Sylvester Jasper opened the scoring, Jaydn Mundle-Smith got the second, and Timmy Abraham scored a brace for the last two.

Both sides started with attacking intent, Luca Ashby-Hammond picked out a low shot across his goal in the first minute.

Fulham countered quickly, Joe Felix played Jasper into the box. He was clipped but stayed on his feet and fired for the near post, the Norwich keeper held firm.

In the fifth minute Fulham made the breakthrough. Zico Asare played the ball up the wing to Showkat Tahir, who put a cute ball in for Abraham to run onto. He cut inside, and instead of shooting, unselfishly squared a ball to Jasper and he fired home for the breakthrough.

Both teams were trying to work their way forward, it was Felix who got the next shot off in the 13th minute. Cutting onto his right he fired from 20-yards out, but too close to the keeper and he plucked it out of the air.

The Young Whites were applying huge pressure, Jasper curled a teasing ball into the box. Tahir got on it at the back post, but marked closesly, he could only poke wide of the post.

Fulham went a second goal up in the 27th minute from a well struck shot from centre back Mundle-Smith. Jasper laid off a well weighted ball into the box and the defender ran onto it and rifled a shot with his left. The ball flew in, in off the post and into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.

Fulham made it 3-0 on the half hour mark. Fabio Carvalho ran into the area and cut a ball back for Abraham, he took it himself this time and shot with his first touch to put the Young Whites in full control.

Felix wanted to get in on the action in the second half, he made several attempts from distance and went close himself on more than one occasion.

Ben Davis also tried to play Abraham in for his hat trick, when he probably had a better shot lined up himself.

In the 59th minute Tahir flashed a cross across goal, Abraham rose and got his head to the ball, but couldn’t find the connection necessary to get the shot on target.

It was all Fulham, Jasper moments later poked towards the near post, but the Canaries’ keeper saved.

In the 64th minute Felix put a perfect ball in for Abraham, but the striker fired inches over the bar. Norwich countered, and Ashby-Hammond who had a quiet came did well to race off his line into the field and clear the danger.

With a quarter hour left in the match, Felix shot across the face of goal, he went close, all he needed was someone at the back post to steer it in. The match played out, and Fulham kept a well deserved clean sheet.
