Head of Safeguarding

Background:

Eleanor has worked within a social care setting for the last ten years. She started her career in Lincolnshire in community criminal justice services and aimed to rehabilitate offenders with substance misuse issues in and outside of prison. Eleanor relocated to London in 2008 and shortly after joined the NSPCC as an Inspector, reviewing internal services to national standards and representing the NSPCC on Serious Case Reviews or Domestic Homicide Reviews.

The role:

Eleanor is now the Head of Safeguarding at Fulham Football Club and leads on developing and implementing the safeguarding strategy. This includes working closely with operational staff and coaches to understand their responsibilities around safeguarding. Eleanor works with children and adults who are at risk and in early 2019 successfully led the Club through an independent external safeguarding audit by Barnardo’s, where they were deemed as fully compliant with standards and legislation with many areas of excellence.
