At Fulham FC, we believe in the power of football to drive change and are committed to fostering a greener future by integrating sustainable practices across the Club’s operations.
From implementing clean energy initiatives to promoting circular economy practices across the Club, we are working to minimise our environmental impact and contribute positively to the community we serve.
We recognise that sustainability is a journey and all our supporters, staff and partners can play a role in helping us work towards a more sustainable future for all.

Clean Energy & Energy Efficiency
- 100% of the Club’s energy is procured from renewable sources.
- Electric mowers are used at Craven Cottage and Motspur Park.
- Building Management System integrated into Fulham Pier to drive energy efficiency.
- PIR (passive infrared) systems have been implemented across all toilet lighting at Craven Cottage and Motspur Park.
Sustainable Transport
- Through the Club’s Gridserve partnership, our car fleet is fully electrified and 10 charging points have been installed across Craven Cottage and Motspur Park.
- Craven Cottage is a public transport venue - Fulham fans are significantly more likely to walk, cycle or take public transport to home matches than the league average. The breakdown of Fulham fan travel to home matches is as follows:
- Train / underground = 47%, In their own car = 25%, Walk = 11%, Bus = 6%, Other = 6%, Get a lift in a car = 3%, Cycle = 2%

Circularity & Waste Management
- More than 2,000 items of First Team and Academy kit have been recycled to Foundation programme recipients.
- 0% of the Club’s training ground waste goes to landfill.
- Over 2,000kg of CO2 emissions have been prevented through the Foundation’s City Harvest relationship, where surplus food is donated to those in need across London.
- Staff, fans and Foundation programme participants are able to donate unwanted household items and clothing via Anglo Doorstep Collections.
Single-Use Plastic Reduction
- Through the Club’s partnership with Adidas, our Home, Away & Third kits are manufactured from 100% recycled materials.
- The Club shop uses exclusively compostable carrier bags and recyclable product labels.
- 16-piece sustainably-sourced, organic cotton and recycled polyester range available in retail store
- On-site water fountains at Motspur Park encourage players, staff and visitors to refill water bottles.
Water Efficiency
- Remote water monitoring system installed across Craven Cottage and Motspur Park to drive water efficiency.
- Waterless urinals have been installed across the Stadium.
Biodiversity
- The Club is supporting the restoration and ongoing maintenance of Bishops Park to mitigate temporary impacts of Riverside Stand construction.
- An ecological survey has been conducted at a secondary site adjacent to Motspur Park to ensure safe processes are in place to protect the environment.
- 120 trees were planted at Motspur Park during 2023 alone.
- Other initiatives have included supporting local litter picks with the WI and a River Thames clean-up in partnership with Buxton to help drive awareness around plastic pollution.
Communications & Engagement
- The Club is a member of the British Association for Sustainable Sport (BASIS), the sustainability hub for sport in the UK. BASIS aims to drive growth in understanding, expertise and commitment to sustainability in sport.
- The Foundation’s 2023-24 Social Action Challenge, which engages primary, secondary and community groups, is focused on helping young people create and implement ideas to protect the planet.
- Fulham participate in the annual Green Football Weekend to highlight how small lifestyle changes can add up to a big difference for the environment.
- Sustainability Working Group made up of staff from various departments around the business to discuss the Club’s sustainability drive and implement best practice across the business.
