This week saw an eventful matchday for our loanees, as many tasted action for the first time in their new team.

Stefan Johansen was up to his usual tricks, being booked just before half time as West Brom ground out a 1-0 win at Stoke. The midfielder featured in the opening 80 minutes as The Baggies moved to within five points of the automatic promotion places.

Marek Rodák, as usual, occupied the sticks in Rotherham’s 1-1 draw with Wigan. Clark Robertson put the Millers in front but Josh Windass struck immediately after to ensure the spoils were shared.

It was the polar opposite in terms of the dream debut for Elijah Adebayo as he was shown a straight red card deep into injury time. The striker was shown dissmissed for appearing to elbow a Tranmere defender as the hosts won 2-0 in Merseyside to condemn Stevenage to defeat.

The defensive duo of Aron Davies and Rob Atkinson enjoyed a productive weekend, as the two are striving to keep Braintree and Maidstone in the Conference. Atkinson came away with a clean sheet, and an impressive win against Salford as Callum Morton struck deep into stoppage time for the only goal.

Davies scored an own goal but helped haul back a result to draw with Fylde. Both sides remain in the relegation zone, but took a big step in making survival possible.

Aboubakar Kamara made his debut for Yeni Malatyaspor, coming on after an hour in their second 1-1 draw in the space of a week. The forward only had a yellow card to show for his opening efforts.

Rui Fonte was an unused sub in Lille’s 2-0 win over Guingamp. Rafael Leao and Loic Remy with the goals to keep Lille as the ‘best of the rest’ behind PSG.

Marcelo Djalo was not in squad for Extremadura.
