Thursday 21st March is World Down Syndrome Day 2019. The theme for this year’s global campaign is ‘Leave No One Behind,’ promoting equal opportunities for people living with Down Syndrome.

With two longstanding DS sport programmes, Fulham FC Foundation is a longstanding supporter of inclusive and disability-specific sport. Ahead of World Down Syndrome Day, the Foundation’s Fulham Badgers DS football teams celebrated with a tournament hosted by Arsenal FC and DSActive.

The day started brightly, with a 7-3 win over Crystal Palace, before going on to play a strong side from Lincoln City. This game finished 4-3 to Lincoln in a dramatic end to the match!

Eight players proudly represented the Foundation, including Harry, Geoffrey and Woody who made their debuts for Fulham Badgers. In a selfless move, Woody even went on loan to Arsenal for one match when they were in need of players.
