Fulham Under-23s could move up six places to fourth in the league table on Friday when they welcome current leaders Middlesbrough to LSE, kicking off at 1pm.

Form

Fulham:

Mark Pembridge and Colin Omogbehin's side have enjoyed a change in fortunes of late, winning their last two league matches after a tricky string of defeats. They fought back defiantly from 2-0 down to fire five past Crystal Palace last week.

Middlesbrough:

Boro have made a strong start to their PL2 campaign, currently sitting at the peak with five wins in their opening nine games. Nevertheless, they travel to the capital off the back of a dramatic 3-2 defeat against Reading.

Player Thoughts

Captain and centre-back, Jaydn Mundle-Smith, is hoping the side can continue to improve as we approach 2021.

"There's a real buzz amongst the boys at the moment which obviously comes from winning games of football. It's been showing in training so hopefully we can keep this good run going and build momentum going into the new year."

The young Whites suffered six defeats on the bounce before turning their form around against Aston Villa and Mundle-Smith knows the importance of picking points up.

"It was crucial to put that bad run of games behind us because we were dropping a lot of valuable points which all add up at the end of the season."

The defender, who will turn 21 next week, is aware of the challenge on Friday but insists his side are ready for it.

"I expect Middlesbrough to be a well organised side and very physical so it will be a good test for us. Coming off the back of two wins, the boys will definitely be up for the fight."
