Former Fulham defender Carlos Bocanegra has been inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

He becomes the third former Whites player to make the list, after the honour was bestowed upon Kasey Keller and Brian McBride in 2015 and 2014, respectively.

Bocanegra scored some crucial goals in his 136 Fulham appearances, notably a last minute winner against Tottenham Hotspur and a vital equaliser away to Chelsea.

He also amassed 110 caps for the United States, 64 of which were as captain.

The National Soccer Hall of Fame celebrates the players of American soccer who have elevated the sport to where it is today, and Bocanegra certainly fits that bill.
