How would you describe yourself as a player?
As a player, I like getting on the ball and I’m not afraid to take it into any position. My passing is a strength and I like to create chances for my team with killer passes, so assists and chance creation is another area of mine.
I feel I can twist and turn out of tight areas as well, so I’d say these things sum me up as a player.
You’ve been utilised this season for both the Under-18s and Under-23s, are there any key differences between the two?
The original plan was for me to play the first half of the season for the Under-18s and then move up if I performed how I was expected to. But instead, I’ve pretty much played for both age groups since the beginning of the season.

The main difference is that with the 23s, it becomes more of a second ball game. 18s play out and are not as afraid to make a mistake but at the next level up, the ball often goes longer and set pieces become more important.
You signed your first professional deal earlier this season, what was your initial reaction to hearing that brilliant news?
I first heard about it quite a bit before but then Covid obviously happened which delayed the process a bit. I was really happy because it showed that all my hard work and my family's sacrifice has been worth it so far and I’m progressing.
That was just the first step really and I need to make sure I push on for more.
What are your aims and objectives for the next year?
To be honest, I think my next step is to push on towards the First Team. Now I’m permanently with the U23s and I’ve been playing well at that level so it’s all about pushing on as soon as possible.
