Fulham secured a comfortable two-goal win over Hull after first half goals from Aleksandar Mitrović and Fabio Carvalho.

The clinical duo combined on the scoresheet for the third successive game to continue Marco Silva’s unbeaten start to the season.

Marco Silva opted for an unchanged side after Josh Onomah shook off a knock picked up against Millwall. Bobby De Cordova-Reid returned to the bench after a one-game absence.

Early gaps were appearing down the Hull right and Antonee Robinson was keen to exploit it. His cross fell for Onomah on the volley which cleared the wrong side of the post.

Paulo Gazzaniga was needed promptly a few moments later. Matt Smith’s strike came at a good height for the Argentine to beat away.

Silva was forced to switch his thinking early as captain Tim Ream was forced off after a hefty fall on his back, Alfie Mawson stepped in to fill the void.

As Mawson was being introduced, the deadlock was broken in typical Mitrović style. Jean Michaël Seri’s corner was glanced on by the Serbian at the near post into the far corner.

Injuries continued to plague Fulham’s momentum as Kenny Tete was forced off for Bobby De Cordova-Reid. Similar to the opener, the second Fulham goal came straight after the change. Fabio Carvalho collected Robinson’s driven cross and poked into the far corner.

A wounded but resilient Fulham took a richly-deserved two-goal lead in at the interval.

A similar tone was set in the second half to that of the first. A golden chance fell to Mitrović from Robinson’s cross, but he planted his header wide from eight-yards.

The injury woes continued for Fulham as goalscorer Carvalho was forced off, he was replaced by Frank Anguissa on the 70-minute mark.

Tosin butted heads with Di’Shon Bernard in the lead up to corner and the pair both entered the referee’s notebook.

A trouble-free afternoon came to a close with a clean sheet and three points to go with it. The only dampener at Craven Cottage being the three injuries.
