Fulham Under-23s look ahead to their fourth Premier League Cup game on Wednesday, when they take on Southend United at Motspur Park (7pm KO).
Form
Fulham:
A win for Steve Wigley's side would make progression into the knockouts almost a certainty, with the young Whites sitting on seven points having played each team in Group H once. Following two wins out of two in the competition, our 23s picked up a 0-0 draw away to Colchester United back in November.
Southend:
The young Shrimpers have struggled to pick up points so far, collecting just the one in their opening three games. A solid 1-1 draw away at Colchester was sandwiched between two defeats to our lads and Stoke City.

Last Time Out
Our 23s kicked off their PL Cup campaign with three points at Southend back in the early stages of September. A wonderstrike from O'Shane Stewart put the hosts ahead before three second half strikes courtesy of Sonny Hilton, Ollie O'Neill and Charlie Robinson flipped the game on its head.
Player Thoughts
Midfielder Ollie O'Neill is hoping the team can get over the line and look ahead to the next stage of the competition.
"Yes, we’ve had a good start and it would be nice to get qualification wrapped up as soon as possible.
"Southend brought quite a good intensity to the last game and they play at a different rhythm to what we’re used to, so it will be important for us to match that and control the game."

When asked what the main positives are of a good cup run, Ollie answered:
"A good cup run brings a good set of opportunities for certain players to show different things. It's also an enjoyable experience for the group as a whole; the games certainly have a different feel to them when compared to PL2 games."
