As the 2020/21 season comes to a close, Fulham Football Club Women would like to provide the following update in regards to their playing squad for the upcoming season.

Five players have been confirmed as departing the Club this summer; Chloe Bagshaw, Bex Jefferies, Bianca Underhill, Sophie Hudson, and Johanna Andersson. Everyone at Fulham Football Club would like to thank these players for their contributions to FFCW and wish them the best for the next chapter of their footballing journey.

FFCW Head Coach Steve Jaye said the players departing would be missed by the entire playing group: “It’s always difficult to see players leave the Club, especially after developing close working relationships with each of them. It’s been a pleasure to have worked with these players over the last few years and I hope that the experiences they have gained here at Fulham will help them achieve success moving forwards. I would personally like to thank each player departing for their efforts, especially given the challenging season we have all had over the last 12 months. We will always be available to support each and every player in the next stage of their footballing careers and we wish them all the best.”

  • Goalkeeper Chloe Bagshaw leaves Fulham for opportunities in the USA, having signed with Houston Baptist University in the NCAA.
  • Kiwi Bex Jefferies departs the Club and the country for home, returning to New Zealand after two seasons representing Fulham.
  • Bianca Underhill played in 32 games over the last two seasons for Fulham, having joined in 2019.
  • Sophie Hudson joined the club as a 16-year-old in 2018, developing her game during her first experience of senior football.
  • Johanna Andersson also joined in 2020, making eight appearances and scoring two goals in that time.

Further information on FFCW’s preparations for next season will be available over the coming weeks.
