The Club is delighted to announce that Under-18s defender Harvey Araujo has signed his first professional contract.

This deal will see the left-back remain at Fulham for a further three years.

Araujo impressed during his first season with our U18s, making 14 appeareances as our young Whites achieved a second title win in succession.

Despite his slender frame, Araujo is a no-nonsense full-back who uses his pace and power to not only limit the opposition's threat, but create danger for his own team too. Having started in every game so far, he'll be sure to feature regularly this season.

After putting pen to paper, he said:

"I'm really pleased and honoured to extend my time here at this club. Last season was a big achievement for me as I got regular football under my belt for the 18s, despite being an Under-16s player.

"This season, I want to aim to become one of the leading figures in this team and hopefully achieve further success.

"There have been plenty of ups and downs throughout my five years at the club so far and they have helped me to progress towards being the player I am today. I can happily say that this feels like home for me."

Academy Director Mike Cave was equally as pleased with the deal:

"I’m delighted Harvey has committed to the Club by signing his professional contract. Already this season, Harvey has played a key role both for the U18s and U23s. He's an athletic, versatile and skilled defender who can play at left-back and centre back. I’m excited to continue to watch Harvey’s development as he pushes on to the next stage of his career."
