The Club is pleased to announce that midfielder Matt Dibley-Dias has signed his first professional deal, which will keep him at Fulham for a further three years.

Dibley-Dias (nicknamed "Dibs" by his teammates) played a pivotal role for our Under-18s last season, making 19 appearances and scoring four goals. Born in New Zealand, the versatile enforcer is also eligible to play for England, Portugal and Brazil.

He expressed his joy after signing on:

"I'm really pleased to extend my stay at the club. I've enjoyed my time here so far and have worked hard so I'm grateful to continue this journey.

"I think this is the best place for me to improve as a player and further my career as a footballer."

Head of Football Development Huw Jennings continued:

"We're really happy with this because Matt's a very good player in the making. He's an intelligent midfielder who has had his challenges with injury, but he's got great potential and will hopefully be back soon supporting our 18s and 23s.

"He's got all the tools to be a really excellent footballer."

Matt built up a reputation for his exceptional ability to take free-kicks, scoring three in total for the Under-18s and Under-17s last season.

"He's certainly shown that he specialises in free-kicks! When he came to us as an attacking midfielder, he was adept as creating and scoring goals. What he's added to his game is the defensive side."

After making the bench on Saturday for our Under-18s' 4-0 win over Norwich, Matt will be hoping his return isn't too far away.
