Marco Silva has been named Championship Manager of the Month for August.
Despite never having coached in England’s second tier before, Silva has led Fulham to 13 points from a possible 15 to put us top of the league.
It’s been done in style, too, with the handbrake firmly off as the Whites have found the back of the net on no fewer than 15 occasions in all competitions.
Silva, though, was quick to share the praise with others.
“I’m pleased to receive the award for August, which is recognition for the collective work carried out by all of us at the Club,” he said. “My staff, the players and everyone that works at Fulham FC have all put in a lot of effort.
“This is only the start of the campaign with still a lot of hard work ahead.”
