Marco Silva was full of praise for the job Steve Cooper has done at Nottingham Forest, ahead of our meeting at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.
The Reds had taken just one point from a possible 21 when Cooper took charge early on in the campaign, but they are now in with a shout of automatic promotion, such has been their form since.
“I have to be fair with them, with Steve as well, it’s fantastic what they are doing,” Silva said. “When we played against them in the first half of the season, we won the game 4-0, but the result definitely didn’t reflect the game.
“We deserved the win, but it didn’t reflect how the match was. It was too hard on them, in my opinion.

“We spoke about it, we had a chat at the end of the match, how they can improve, and he was really positive that they could do good things.
“They’re playing good football, with some young players at a very good level as well, some signings in January that helped them to be stronger as a team, and now they are in a very good position.
“No-one expected that when he started managing the football club, but he’s doing fantastic.
“It will be a tough match for us, they keep fighting for something really important, they are there, they are a good team, quality team who can create problems for us.

“But we are looking more for ourselves, respecting them of course, but at the Cottage it will be difficult for them, I’m 100 per cent sure, but we have to play at our best level to win the match, because they will create problems for us.”
The Championship title will be secured on Tuesday if the Whites can better Bournemouth’s result away at Swansea City, and Silva is keen for his side to get over the line.
“Our season has been fantastic, our players have been brilliant, promotion was a great achievement for us,” he stated. “We fight to get the best from the competition, that is to get the title.
“Now we have three more matches. We have to go again, and it will be a great feeling if we can achieve it. We are going to fight and give our maximum to achieve the title.”
