Fulham Under-21s face another London test on Monday evening, with a visit to rivals Chelsea (7pm ko).

The game was originally scheduled to take place at Stamford Bridge, but will now go ahead at Kingsmeadow, the home of Chelsea Women.

Form

Chelsea:

New Development Squad Head Coach Mark Robinson made a dream start, as his side demolished Wolves 7-1 on the opening day. Harvey Vale, Dion Rankine and Jayden Wareham all scored braces as the Midlands side were blown away.

Fulham:

Steve Wigley's lads returned to the top flight with a bang, beating last season's runners-up West Ham United 3-1 at Motspur Park. Sylvester Jasper, Ollie O'Neill and Callum McFarlane all got themselves on the scoresheet as we banked our first three points of the campaign.

Last Time Out

These two sides haven't faced each other in a competitive game since 2015, when Chelsea recorded a 3-1 win over the young Whites.

Ones To Watch

Chelsea:

Ex-Fulham Academy player Harvey Vale has made a bright start to the season and will be a threat for Chelsea on Monday if involved. The attacker scored five and assisted four last season at Under-23s level, before making his appearances for the senior team in both the FA and Carabao Cup. He was awarded the 2021/22 Academy Player of the Year.

Fulham:

Ollie O'Neill has already got himself a goal and assist this season, and was a nuisance for the young Hammers throughout last week's London clash. The Republic of Ireland youth international will be hoping to build some momentum as the season progresses.

Player Insight

With Marco Silva calling on a number of Academy players since joining the club, Striker Terry Ablade is motivated to perform well and work towards a similiar opportunity.

"You see all your friends getting the call up so for me, I can see the opportunity. It's down to me to work hard, perform well and make sure that when my opportunity comes, I take it."

It's been a busy pre-season for the pacey front man, but he's feeling good.

"I was injured for the first part of pre-season, but since coming back I feel great and I'm getting sharper and fitter. It's all about working towards being able to play a full 90 minutes."

With our 23s now competing in the top division, the calibre of opposition will increase.

"It's great because we can show the world that we're capable of playing at a higher level against some of the best young teams and players."
