Tim Ream has called for another raucous atmosphere at Craven Cottage when we host Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.

The stadium was rocking at our previous home fixtures against Liverpool and Brentford, something that hasn’t been lost on Ream and his teammates.

“I’d say even going back to the tail end of last season,” he replied when asked about the noise made by the Fulham faithful.

“I don’t know that I’ve ever, in the seven years that I’ve been here, experienced the atmospheres that we’ve been having over the last probably seven, eight, nine games at the Cottage.

“It’s been fantastic, and the guys feel it, we do. We do feed off it.

“As the Manager’s said previously, the fans are going to be important for us this year, more so than ever, and they’ve definitely brought their energy and definitely have helped us in that aspect.”

Any edge that the supporters can provide will be much needed, as we face a Brighton outfit that’s taken 10 points from a possible 12.

“They’ve done well, going back to last year even,” Ream said. “It’s another tough game, as they all are, but I think they’re definitely more of a top half of the table team at the minute, the way they have evolved and cemented themselves in the league.

“Again, another difficult task, but one we’re looking forward to, and one we’re definitely looking forward to having at the Cottage.”

The Whites go into the game having just suffered our first defeat of the campaign, but it was a hard-fought contest at the Emirates.

After Aleksandar Mitrović had put us in front with his 100th goal for the Club, Arsenal turned things around with a pair of fortuitous goals, as Martin Ødegaard’s deflected shot wrong-footed Bernd Leno, before the ball dropped generously for Gabriel to tap in the winner.

“I think the Manager put it best when he said sometimes you’re just unlucky with things like that,” Ream stated. “It’s swings and roundabouts, at some point you’d like to think that you’re going to get that little bit of fortune.

“I’m not overly critical of the goals, the second one maybe we can do a little bit more, but we did a pretty good job of limiting really clear, clear chances.

“It was good to see that everyone was disappointed after the match in the changing room, because we knew that we gave it a good go.

“Obviously we had to soak up a lot of pressure at times, but we kept the fight and the desire, even after they scored.

“Mitro had another chance, Bobby on the rebound of that, and even Nate at the end.

“Definitely positives to take, we weren’t despondent and super down, but we all felt we could have gotten a point out of there.”
