Fulham v Millwall | Tuesday 8th February 2022 | 7.45pm | Craven Cottage | #FULMIL
The opposition
- 2022 began poorly for Millwall with four consecutive defeats in all competitions, but they will hope they’ve turned a corner with their last two results, taking four points from home meetings with West Brom and Preston, while keeping clean sheets in both.
- It’s a lack of consistency which has troubled the Lions this season, winning as many games as they’ve lost (nine), while only Coventry and Derby have drawn more than their 10 stalemates. It’s form that sees them sitting in 15th spot in the Championship.
- One area where Millwall have been strong this season is at the back. They’ve conceded just 29 goals in their 28 league fixtures to date, a figure bettered only by Middlesbrough, West Brom, Bournemouth and Fulham.

Player insight
Nathaniel Chalobah wants Fulham to play like a side who are top of the league when they welcome Millwall to Craven Cottage.
“They’re a tough side to play against,” he said. “Our advantage is we’re at home and we’ve come back from a good performance that we’ll look to try and emulate.
“We’ve just got to focus on ourselves. We’re top of the league for a reason and we just have to go out there and play with confidence.”

"We’ll have to be at our best to get a result. These are the sort of challenges you enjoy as a team. Often our team will step up and perform to a better level. We like these kind of games but we’re respectful they are tough opponents."
