Fulham Under-23s once again travel to Stoke City for their penultimate Premier League Cup group game on Thursday evening (KO 1pm).

With the young Whites' progression into the knockouts guaranteed, this game might give Steve Wigley a chance to experiment with his lineup.

Form

Stoke:

As things stand, the young Potters would also progress with the top two teams from each group gaining qualification. They edged past Colchester United in their most recent cup tie, winning 3-2 at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Fulham:

Wigley's lads have impressed throughout the tournament so far and remain unbeaten after four games. With three wins and one draw to their name, our 23s sit on 10 points and have already qualified with two games still to play.

Last Time Out

Our Under-23s travelled up to Stoke just a few weeks ago in the league and left the Bet365 Stadium with the all important three points. It was a tight contest, but Sonny Hilton's late wonderstrike separated the two sides.

Player Thoughts

Despite the result not impacting our cup status, defender Idris Odutayo insists that the mindset must remain the same.

"For us, it's really important that we keep that winning mentality within the squad, so for that reason we'll be approaching this game exactly the same as any other.

Idris Odutayo protects the ball

"It is nicer to play with that little bit less pressure than normal," he told fulhamfc.com. "Hopefully the lads will be able to really express themselves out on the pitch but by no means will we be complacent."
