Fulham Under-23s kick off the new year with a trip to Nottingham Forest on Monday evening (KO 7pm).

Form

Forest:

Andy Reid's side have struggled for points so far this season, picking up 13 from as many games. Forest will be looking for their first league win since the end of September, when they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 away from home.

Fulham:

The young Whites were relentless throughout the first half of the season and sit top of the table, 11 points clear of second placed Norwich with a game in hand. A victory on Monday would make it an incredible 10 league wins on the bounce for Steve Wigley's lads.

Last Time Out

Monday's opposition gave a good account of themselves in the reverse fixture back in October, but our 23s edged past them with a 2-1 win, in a game that saw Wigley play Terence Kongolo and Domingos Quina. Forest went in ahead at half-time but a Ziyad Larkeche strike followed by a late Sonny Hilton penalty earned our boys all three points.

Player Thoughts

Defender Idris Odutayo is looking forward to returning to action after a few weeks off.

"We're really excited to get back to things and I believe that's come across in training this past week. The intensity and competitiveness is there for all to see and we'll be looking to take that into Monday's game."

With the side boasting an excellent record, the 19-year-old is hopeful the group can carry it on.

"I'm confident we can pick up where we left off," he told fulhamfc.com. "We're certainly not complacent and we know we'll need to carry on doing the things that helped us get into this position in the first place."
