Rodrigo Muniz’s all action display at the bet365 Stadium has seen him voted Man of the Match by the Fulham fans.

The Brazilian led the line brilliantly in the absence of Aleksandar Mitrović, holding the ball up well and having the confidence to take players on when the opportunity presented itself.

His stunning finish inside two minutes was the perfect tonic to falling behind after just 40 seconds, and he could yet be awarded another goal after he appeared to get a telling touch on Fabio Carvalho’s shot for our second.

Muniz was unlucky to see his powerful header come back off the crossbar in the second half, but he’ll have been delighted to see it lead to the winner nonetheless, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid lashing home a marvellous half volley.

Muniz’s work ethic and likeable demeanour have made him an immediate favourite of the fans, and 51.5 per cent of them thought he was our star man against Stoke City.

Harrison Reed – who was excellent all afternoon – set him up for his goal and subsequently came second with 14.5%, ahead of his midfield partner Tom Cairney who claimed 13.6%.
