Clint Dempsey has been elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

It follows the news that Mark Schwarzer was inducted into the Australian equivalent last week.

Fulham greatest ever Premier League scorer – with 50 of his 60 goals for us coming in the top flight – Dempsey is undoubtedly a United States legend for what he has achieved.

He is the fourth most capped player in their history with 141 appearances to his name, and nobody has scored more goals for the USMNT than Dempsey’s 57.

Dempsey scored at three separate World Cups for the States, and also holds the mantle of being the first American to play in a major European Final and to score a Premier League hat-trick.

Dempsey joins fellow Fulham alumni Brian McBride, Carlos Bocanegra and Kasey Keller, and everyone at the Club would like to congratulate him on a thoroughly deserved achievement.
