The Club is pleased to announce the permanent signing of striker Callum McFarlane.

The 18-year-old forward boasts a unique story, joining us fresh out of Bradfield College, which has a reputation for developing excellent young talent.

Callum will join up with Steve Wigley's Under-21s, who have already been boosted by the arrival of former Juventus midfielder Kristian Šekularac.

We caught up with the new arrival after experiencing a few training sessions with the lads:

Welcome to Fulham Callum. Does this all feel a little surreal for you?

It's been a really great start and I'm so excited to be here. I'll take every step as it comes.

A lot of hard work has gone into getting to this stage and I feel really fortunate to have been offered this opportunity.

The first few training sessions have been really intense and I've noticed the increase in the pace of it, but I think I've adjusted well. Steve [Wigley] likes to work his players really hard and that's definitely been the case for me too.

Bradfield College has a reputation of developing promising young players. Why do you think that is?

The programme that's set up there is really, really good and you get taught lots of psychological stuff alongside the football which helps improve everyone.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

I'd say I'm a very dynamic striker who can perform well doing a number of different roles. I can hold up the ball, make good runs in behind and I'm quite powerful on and off the ball.

Have you had a good opportunity to meet your teammates and staff?

I've been able to meet pretty much everyone and so far they've all been really nice and welcoming. The staff and coaches have helped ease me in, so I've settled in very well so far.

What kind of impact do you think you can make for our Under-21s?

I'm hoping to make a massive impact by scoring plenty of goals and helping us win games to begin with. If I can start strong, we'll see where we can go from there.

"Callum has had a unique journey to join us, having been identified playing in his final year at school," added Academy Director Mike Cave. "His game understanding and capacity to score goals meant that we were excited to offer him the chance to sign a professional contract with us and I’m sure Callum will seize the opportunity and go on to have an exciting season with the Under-21s."
