Fulham FC Foundation are hugely excited to announce the expansion of our Football and Education programme with the addition of a girls cohort in September 2023 via our partnership with Raynes Park High School.
The Football and Education programme aims to provide exceptional football and academic experiences to aspiring student-athletes. Our football provision, delivered by highly-experienced football coaches, runs alongside our education provider at Raynes Park Sixth Form. The team train three times a week, with training built into your school timetable, with a matchday squad selected to compete in fixtures each week.
Fulham FC Foundation’s Female Football Development Officer Niamh Barnett spoke of the amazing opportunity that exists for young women through this new programme: “Ever since I was young I have had a passion for football that grew through those around me, however at sixth form I lacked the opportunity to develop this further within the school setting.
“I would have loved the chance to develop my football alongside my education and experience a new challenge. I strongly encourage any girls going into year 11 in September to take up this opportunity to drive their footballing passion further!”
We encourage any student-athlete who has the drive to succeed, passion to develop and willingness to challenge themselves to come along and experience our programme.
An introductory session will be held on Thursday 28th July from 4-6pm for any aspiring footballers currently in Year 10 (Year 11 student from September 2022). This session will be hosted at Fulham FC Training Ground, Motspur Park, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 6PT on 4G pitches.
Our session aims to share the outcomes and structure of our programme with the opportunity to speak with the coaching staff and current students. You will be experiencing what life would be like where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability within a number of challenges on the day.
