Brian McBride won't go down as one of the most prolific goal scorers in the history of Fulham Football Club, but his impact was undeniable.

An absolute warrior on the pitch, it was no surprise when he was given the captain's armband, and he certainly led by example.

His final season at Fulham saw him fight back from a nasty injury to lead us to safety, with three of his 40 goals for the Club proving decisive as we escaped relegation at the end of 2007/08.

Actor and writer Charlie Cooper still counts McBride as his favourite Fulham player - here's why:
