Overview
Fulham FC Foundation invites you to take part in our Social Action Challenge 2022/23.
Youth social action refers to activities that young people do to make a positive difference to others or the environment. We want to help young people make a difference, whether this be in their local community or on a global scale.
The challenge is open to all young people aged 5 to 18, and up to 25 for young disabled people.
Richard Morris, Fulham FC Foundation Secondary Education and Careers Manager, spoke of his excitement to launch this season’s challenge.
“After its success last year, we’re please to launch the 2022/23 social action challenge. This challenge gives participants from across the Foundation the opportunity to make a positive contribution to their local community, by taking action on an issue affecting their local area. It also gives us, as a Foundation, the opportunity to celebrate our participants' hard work through our finals event in February. We look forward to seeing all of your amazing social action projects.”

Social Action Project
We invite young people to come together in a small group of between 2 to 10 people to create, develop and plan a social action project that:
- They are passionate about and feel is important to them
- Will benefit the local community, or wider
- Can be delivered within a 3-month time frame
Teachers, youth workers, coaches and other professionals are encouraged to bring together small groups to explain the Social Action Challenge to the young people they work with. We have also produced a short series of sessions plans for professionals to use with groups of young people, should they wish.
Groups are invited to submit their social action project proposals by Friday 16th December 2022. All entries will be reviewed and shortlisted, with the top 5 entries invited to present their social action project proposals to a panel of Fulham FC Foundation judges at our finals event on Friday 10th of February 2023.
All 5 shortlisted projects will be given a financial prize of £100 to support the delivery of their social action project. The top project in each of the following categories will also win a Fulham FC prize for their team.
- Primary school winner
- Secondary school winner
- Community winner
Young people will then be tasked with putting in to action their project within 3 months and reporting back through a case study, video diary and photographs.
