Kristian Šekularac, who put in a solid display on Tuesday evening, gave fulhamfc.com his thoughts after full-time.

The 4-2 win over Celtic means our youngsters are on four points after two group games.

"I think it was a great team performance from all the boys and I'm delighted that we got the win in the end. It was a really exciting game which was constantly back and forth and against a really good side, so it was an absolute joy to be part of to be honest.

"Celtic were solid and try to play out from the back. They had some quality players."

Šekularac beats his man

The Swiss international hasn't yet become a regular in the line-up but is confident he can become key moving forward.

"It’s normal, I joined just a few months ago and it takes a bit of time to adjust to all the changes on and off the pitch.

"I have fully adapted now and I am getting along really well with my teammates, the coaching staff, and everyone at the club. With trust and continuity, which is essential for my game, I am very confident about what I can achieve going forward."

Having drawn against Valencia in their tournament opener, Šekularac is happy with the start our side have made in the Premier League International Cup.

"Yeah we're pretty pleased. I thought we were unlucky not to get the three points against Valencia, so it was important to make a statement against Celtic and that's exactly what we did."

The young Whites turn their attention back to the league on Saturday, when they travel across London to face Tottenham Hotspur.

"It's another good test, which every game in the league is. Every team has got good qualities so it will definitely be another challenge for us to try and overcome."
