Jay Stansfield will spend the duration of the 2022/23 campaign on loan with Exeter City.

It’s a return to familiar surroundings for the 19-year-old, who was born in Exeter and went on to join the club’s academy before moving to Fulham three years ago.

It will no doubt be an emotional reunion for both club and player, with Jay’s late father Adam holding legend status at St James' Park for his achievements as a player, even having a stand named after him.

Having won automatic promotion last season, Exeter are now competing in League One, currently occupying ninth spot after six matches.

Everyone at Fulham wishes Jay the very best of luck during his time back in Devon.
