The Club can confirm that Marlon Fossey has joined Belgian Pro League side Standard Liège on a permanent deal.
Marlon flew over from Jersey at the age of 11 for a trial with the club, before journeying up the Academy ranks while achieving plenty of success along the way.
He had a fantastic 2016/17 season with us, creating 29 chances and making 35 tackles and 82 interceptions across both competitive age groups. He was subsequently called up to represent his country, USA, at Under-20 level.

He also played his part last season for Steve Wigley's side, picking up four assists in 11 league appearances as our Under-21s gained promotion into the top flight.
Away from West London, Marlon impressed on loan at Shrewsbury Town and even more so, Bolton Wanderers, where he became a hero for the fans after scoring one and assisting five in 15 appearances.
He made a fully deserved senior debut a few weeks ago in our Carabao Cup match against Crawley Town.

After the move was confirmed, Marlon spoke to fulhamfc.com:
"It's a sad moment leaving Fulham and saying my goodbyes a few days ago was emotional. I've been in and around the club for about 12 years so I'm comfortable with everyone.
"It's also exciting that I'm stepping into a new environment at a higher level than I was playing at last season. The key for me was to play at a higher level consistently, and hopefully if I put the work in I can achieve that now.

"Initially [when he joined], I was coming over every weekend for like a month and thankfully I did sign with my family there with me. My time here has been amazing. I really appreciate the many fans who have been looking out for me over the years and giving me words of encouragement when it came to injury progress."
Most importantly, Marlon has been a pleasure to have around Motspur Park and has shown loyalty, dedication and enthusiasm throughout. Everybody at Fulham wishes him all the very best moving forward.
