After an excellent start this season, Ollie O'Neill has been nominated for the August PL2 Player of the Month Award.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 International got his season up and running in style, grabbing a goal and assist in our 3-1 win against West Ham United on the opening day.
He then scored his second and third goal of the campaign during our 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Motspur Park. After curling a beautiful free-kick into the far corner from a tight angle, O'Neill calmly slotted home just three minutes later to double our lead.
To top off what had been a great month, the 19-year-old added another assist against Manchester United, swinging in a brilliant cross towards the back post which was coolly converted by Terry Ablade.
So after five PL2 games, the in-form winger has gathered three goals and two assists.
O'Neill is competing for the award alongside Dominic Ballard (Southampton), Thomas Cannon (Everton), Mateo Fernandez (Leeds United), Abu Kamara (Norwich City), Tawanda Maswanhise (Leicester City), Sonny Perkins (Leeds United) and Max Thompson (Sunderland).
